Carbone Eau de Toilette by Balmain Beauty is a Oriental Floral fragrance for women and men. It was launched in 2025. The nose behind this fragrance is Quentin Bisch.

The fragrance features Suede, White Musk, Rose, Cumin, Sandalwood and Patchouli.

During a quick getaway to the Netherlands this week, i had the chance to dive into the Balmain collection and i literally fell in love with Carbone.

What’s unusual is that this fragrance features rose and if you’ve been following me for a while, you know i’m not a huge fan of that note.
But if only all rose-based perfumes were like this one, i think it might just become one of my favorite notes.

Right away, the clean yet carnal quality of white musk takes center stage.
The rose enters timidly, bringing with it that characteristic delicacy and sensuality. On my skin, it leans more botanical and green, with a subtle sweetness.
Cumin adds a spicy touch, with its anise-like, slightly bitter, and faintly animalic nuances.
The fragrance becomes warm and enveloping. It rests on a woody base that is both creamy and earthy, thanks to the combination of sandalwood and patchouli, while suede lends a textured, velvety quality to the whole composition.

With this fragrance, Quentin Bisch has once again demonstrated his immense talent.
