The 2026 tech job market is competitive, but are you making your job search harder than it needs to be? 👀
You don’t need to know EVERYTHING to land your first tech job.
When I did my BSc IT, I got an internship as a Business Analyst and eventually converted it into a full-time role at the same company.
If I were starting my tech career today, I’d focus on 3 things:
→ Pick ONE tech job role you actually want.
→ Analyse 20–30 job descriptions to identify the skills companies are looking for.
→ Build projects that demonstrate those skills instead of just collecting certificates.
Whether you’re looking for Business Analyst jobs, Data Analyst roles, Product Management, UX/UI Design, QA Testing or other entry-level IT jobs, start by understanding what employers actually expect.
Your degree doesn’t decide your career. Your skills, practical experience and ability to demonstrate what you can do matter, too.
Save this before your next job application. And follow for realistic tech career advice, non-coding tech jobs, fresher hiring tips and insights into corporate life in India. 💻
