Boston Architectural College

Congratulations to BAC faculty members Yufan Gao and Adrian Fehrmann on receiving an
@envisionresilience National Design Studio Grant for their landscape architecture studio, Rooms of the Geologic: From Extraction to Adaptation! 🎉

This interdisciplinary studio engages Cape Ann communities in imagining climate-resilient futures by reimagining the region’s former granite quarries as interconnected rooms of ecological adaptation, cultural memory, and public stewardship. By working with the layered histories and landscapes of extraction along Massachusetts’ North Shore, the studio invites new ways of caring for place, community, and environment.

The BAC is so proud to see Yufan and Adrian’s thoughtful, community-centered approach recognized.🌿
