The CEO of the California High-Speed Rail has resigned, the project's authority board of directors confirmed Thursday during the final day of a two-day meeting in Anaheim.
Ian Choudri had led the authority since August 2024, when he was appointed to the position by the board of directors.
During his two years as CEO, it was filled with budget concerns and a variety of scandals.
In an audit, it stated that the High-Speed Rail Authority approved travel expenses for consulting firms that were considered "wasteful" and "unallowable," according to a September report, which described it as a pattern of noncompliance with regulations and contracts.
