It was a long day but definitely worth the two hour road trip to Crozet, Virginia for the third annual Book Fest hosted by @bluebirdandco
I was at my computer before the sun came up to get some writing in before my adventure.
Then, I listened to @themelrobbinspodcast on “Unlocking Your Full Potential” with @adamgrant while on my way to pick up my bestie, who is a fellow English teacher and my go-to for all things writing (and life quite frankly).
We attended three panel discussions. It was great to get insights into so many authors’ stories and journeys. 📚The Witch, the Siren & the Scholar: Books with a Dash of Magic featuring 📚So You Want to be a Writer: Picture Book Edition 📚A Good Place to Die: Setting as a Character in Mysteries
I was so thrilled to meet @margaretliseeley We’re both lucky enough to be represented by @lindsey_aduskevich I can’t wait to read Mengxi Seeley’s debut novel Silk and Sensibility.
On the way home, I chilled out listening to “Massachusetts” by @jensenmcrae
I treated myself to the final episode of season 3 of My Life with the Walter Boys on @netflix I really hope the series stays true to the ending of the books by @authoralinovak
Last but certainly not least, I finished my day enjoying the middle grade historical fiction novel The Red Umbrella by @christinadiazgonzalez
Already looking forward to attending the Crozet Book Fest again next year!
