‼️THIS HALLOWEEN AFTERNOON IN PHILLY‼️
WE HUMBLY PRESENT: SPOOKYFEST 5//FREAK FEST 2
👻🎃🙀REVENGE OF THE FREAKS🙀🎃👻
A FREE BENEFIT SHOW COLLECTING DONATIONS FOR A SURGERY OUR CAT “FREAK” MAY NEED THIS WEEKEND😿
ALL ADDITIONAL PROCEEDS WILL GO DIRECTLY TO PAWS, THE PHILADELPHIA ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY!!😻
THIS SHOW IS FOR A CAUSE, NOT FOR PROFIT!!!😸
A LITTLE BACKSTORY:
I’ve been throwing SpookyFest for 5 years now and I think I will forever. It started as 40 people in my friends garage year 1. Year 2 it was 100 people at a community center. We had 300 people show up year 3 and last year we had roughly 1000 people show up to my old house for SpookyFest 4 with a line to get in wrapped around our block the entire night. At $15 a head, we made roughly $15k on a house show. While it was an insane feat, and I am proud of the show we put on, I NEVER want to throw a show like that ever again. It was wayyy too packed, chaotic, and frankly just unsafe. It was simply out of control. In my opinion, artists and those helping us run the show were severely underpaid while “the house” (one particular roommate) was SEVERELY overpaid ($5k).
✨🤩‼️FUCK THAT SHIT‼️🤩✨
I firmly believe in throwing shows for people over profit🫶
SO THAT BEING SAID:
This year SpookyFest 5 is also Freak Fest 2. A FREE benefit show for PAWS, the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society. It just so happens that unfortunately, my cat, Freak, has breathing issues that have suddenly gotten worse. He has a vet appointment tomorrow and will likely stay overnight to have a procedure done to remove a possible polyp in his throat. I am currently living out of my car and hoping to move into a new place in the next week and I simply cannot afford to pay for a surgery on top of moving costs at the moment. IF Freak’s appointment goes better than expected and he doesn’t need another surgery, 100% of the profits will go to PAWS so they can continue doing the amazing work they do!
Thank you for reading this far, I hope to see you there!!🥰
