We are WELL into the paint process at our Lacehaven Manor build! ✨
.
This is the part where things slow down quite a bit… and for VERY good reason.
.
One thing people may not realize is that the actual painting is arguably the easiest part of the entire process. It’s the PREP WORK that requires the most time, patience, and attention to detail. 🎯
.
.
And when you’re working with a home that features extensive custom millwork & intricate trim details that process becomes even MORE involved.
.
.
Paint doesn’t hide imperfections. It actually highlights them.
.
A beautiful paint finish is only as good as the surface beneath it, which is why we refuse to rush this stage.
.
Stay tuned for the completion ✨

Prime the wood, then fill nail holes and caulk. You got more bondo than a rusty 57 Chevy.

I’ve been doing this shit for 20 years. Bondo still cracks, especially at the joints of the 45 on base boards, unless believe it very tight. Minimal bondo work is the way to go. Sometimes Carpenter need to step up their game. Sometimes they are beautifully part on.

Bondo doesn’t flex. How do you account for the house settling or breathing on joints? Don’t find flex caulk works best in joints?
