O'Dea High School

🏆 Congratulations to Mr. Ryland Brown ‘97, named Black Male Educator of the Year by ACE (Academy for Creating Excellence)! 🏆

Mr. Brown teaches with a clear mission: to open doors and be a role model for students who see themselves in him. In his Algebra classrooms, he meets every student where they are. He makes rigorous math approachable and builds a work ethic that stays with our alumni long after graduation.

As a basketball coach, he also teaches character, teamwork, and discipline. He works closely with families as a true partner in their sons’ growth.

Thank you, Mr. Brown, for all you give to our young men! 💛 And thank you to @ace for honoring him and for empowering so many of our students and families. 🙌
