My favorite photos are always the reactions. @sra127 had them in spades. What an incredible evening filled with so much laughter, tears… and everything in between.
Yes, I get the classics. The pretty ones you see on the blogs, the ones your parents will print and hang on the wall. But the images I wait for are the ones that only happen when I give you, your friends, and your family permission to just be yourselves. This groom had the whole room in stitches during a 30-minute speech (yes, thirty, and nobody checked their phone once). Then he stood under the chuppah and cried his eyes out, barely able to keep it together long enough to say his vows. That’s the person his friends and family know and love, and that’s exactly who I wanted to capture in these photos.
Wedding photos don’t have to be formal, and they don’t all have to look the same. If you can’t tell one portfolio from the next, maybe you haven’t found your photographer yet.
What sets my work apart as a Boston wedding photographer is that I watch and I listen. I feel out the day. And I build time into your schedule for these moments to happen. When you’re rushing from one setup to the next, or hair and makeup runs two hours late, these are the photos that get sacrificed. These are the memories you never get to make because the timeline wasn’t built with them in mind.
