One of my favorite parts of serving families is helping them understand the physiology of birth and how beautifully their bodies were designed for it!

Once a month, I host a small childbirth education class for my doula clients and their partners. I received my childbirth educator certification through @indiebirth and have absolutely loved teaching the ins and outs of physiological birth, with a special emphasis on protecting the hormones that make labor work.

We talk about the physiology of labor, the role of hormones, how to create an environment that supports birth, and practical ways partners can be involved and supportive throughout the process.

I host these classes at @betterwomenshealth , quite possibly the coziest office space in Jax with some of the best pelvic floor PTs in town! I love Dr. Victoria personally and professionally, and am so grateful to have a space like this to gather and learn.

I intentionally cap each class at 3 couples to keep the setting comfortable + conversational. These classes are first offered to my doula clients, but on months when I have additional spots available, I open them up to other expecting families!

If you’re interested in joining an upcoming class - send me a DM and let’s chat! 🫶🏼
