The “Door Kick Challenge” is the latest in social media trends, similar to ding ditching, except the participants kick someone’s front door as hard as possible before running away.
Andrea Franco and her fiancé, Stephen Diaz, said they thought someone was breaking into their home when they became the latest victims of the trend.

One of the dumbest trends I’ve seen. These kids have absolutely no clue what could be waiting on the other side of those doors. We recently experienced this TWICE. On both occasions, an individual showed up wearing a ski mask and kicking our front door. During the second encounter, we were able to catch the individual and contacted Clovis PD. What angered me almost as much as the incident itself was the lack of accountability afterward. When the father came to pick up his child, there was no apology, no acknowledgment of the seriousness of what had happened, and seemingly no understanding of how dangerous this so-called prank could have been. This isn't funny. You never know who is on the other side of that door, what their reaction might be, or how quickly something like this could turn tragic. Parents, please talk to your kids. There are consequences to these actions.
