Mayor Zohran Mamdani delivered a speech at a party for the Democrats in New York City on Election Night, pointing to the millions who stood in lines at the polls Tuesday, guided by "the faith that the future need not be defined by the failures of the past." The mayor was on stage just as AP called the New York governor’s race for Gov. Kathy Hochul. He thanked those who went out to raise awareness and support for the Democrats, and said that they're the reason the party is returning to root principles. "Those who committed themselves to changing our party, and changing who we put first. Thanks to each of you, and so many others, from Bed-Stuy to Belmont, Coney Island to Cambria Heights, we have begun the work of transforming our party and making it belong to working people once again," Mamdani said. πŸ“Ή Astra Rincon Montanez πŸ”Š Tune into 1010 WINS AT 92.3 FM for more local news #newyork #midterms #midtermelections #electionday #electionnight #zohranmamdani #nyc #democraticparty #democrats #kathyhochul #politics #workingclass

In this Season 5 conversation of Acting & The Self - actor Shanaya Kapoor raises a concern many actors experience between projects: How do you stay connected to your craft when you’re no longer in the rhythm of working? Atul Mongia offers a different perspective: A pause in professional work doesn’t have to mean a pause in your growth as an actor. The time between projects can be invaluable. An opportunity to replenish yourself, explore unfamiliar characters, challenge your limitations and work on aspects of your craft that may otherwise get overlooked. He also encourages actors to reflect on what they want to develop, both within themselves and in their work, and to actively seek experiences that help them grow. Because growth as an actor isn’t limited to the time you spend on set. Sometimes, the most important work happens between projects. And if life, work or other commitments keep your weekdays occupied, your weekends can still be a space to connect with your craft. Explore, practise and deepen your work as an actor with the upcoming: One-Month Weekend Acting Intensive - Designed by Atul Mongia Dates: Nov 21 – Dec 13, 2026 Days: Saturday & Sunday Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Location: Versova, Mumbai Limited seats.
