A night of remembrance.
One of my favorite photographs from Oaxaca’s Día de Muertos celebrations last year.
I was struck by the atmosphere in the cemetery. Families gathering, candles burning, marigolds everywhere. A celebration of those who are no longer with us, but very much still part of our lives.
There was something beautiful about the warmth and color of it all, especially against the darkness of the night.
With Día de Muertos approaching again, it’s a lovely memory to revisit.
