The 1964 Grand Final was to be Ron Barassi’s last game for the Melbourne Demons, though nobody knew it at the time. 🏉🏆
Barassi wore this No. 31 guernsey (see slide 2) as captain in the ‘64 Grand Final, with a thrilling four-point win over Collingwood ($20,000-40,000). It leads the Ron Barassi Collection, offered by Paul Little AO; one of the most important archives of Australian Rules football memorabilia ever assembled, featuring awards, mementos, historic pieces, and personal curiosities.
