My plan for 2026 shows with Rita @ritashantidmt was to bring her into Olympia in “decent” stage shape but not burn her out for her Title defense at Ben Weider Naturals as that is the show I wanted her to be at her best ever. Showing up her best 7 weeks before would have hurt that peak. After 28 shows together factoring many things in this was my decision and approach. I won’t lie…I second guessed myself all the way up through the prejudging at Olympia. I remember sitting next to Brandon @diamante.beckett asking him and his wife Nicole if they thought that was the right decision. They said “Coach she looks good, she looks like she belongs up there 100% it’s a great showing for her!” …but still as I sat there watching the Olympia prejudging I knew she was 7 weeks out from being her best. We got to 10 weeks out Ben Weider and reality hit that we were only 3 weeks out from Olympia so I crash dieted her hard for 3 weeks. She came into Vegas in respectable condition thank goodness but I was afraid to carb her up much and she went on stage about 4 lbs lighter than she was last year. After Olympia I started giving her weekly refeeds and all her muscle she had built off season popped right back. This morning Rita was 143 lbs fasted after a couple of low calorie days. This is over 10 lbs bigger than she was at Olympia and in much much better condition. Sitting now at 11 days out from the 2026 Ben Weider Rita is the biggest she has ever been for a Wellness show by a good margin and with good condition. Looking back now I am happy on my decision not to peak Rita too early this year. We knew she wouldn’t have a chance at winning Olympia or even being first callout…so the focus for me was always on winning her 3rd Ben Weider Naturals Title. Even though I questioned myself I know looking at her now I made the right call. Rita you look amazing today! I appreciate you always trusting the my plan and listening. You are as, if not more, focused than any athlete I have ever coached. You are incredible and you have my respect always 🫡 …as well as my love ❤️🙂 😉 Your Best is coming Champ!!! 🏆🏆🏆
BREAKING: The Fox News Decision Desk can project that Democrat Troy Jackson will defeat Republican Sen. Susan Collins in Maine. The state has backed Democrats in every presidential election since 1992, but voters also elected Republican Susan Collins to five consecutive Senate terms. That record ends tonight. Here's three movements you might not be using that absolutely needs to be in your program Number one the adductor machine AKA the good girl machine You have this whole network of adductor muscles like that longus, brevis, pectineus, gracilis, obturator externus, and the adductor magnus that also does hip extension The adductors fill out the inner part of your thigh so that you don't end up with a thigh gap because that shit has been out of style for some time. So don't neglect the adductor machine because it's the only way to hit some of those muscles hip thrust There's still factions of guys who will bend over for the entire gym and spread their cheeks in an RDL but will say doing hip thrusts are gay What's gay is not doing thrusts because you're an insecure little man that doesn't know the glutes are the largest muscles in your whole body and that you should def be doing an alpha level s-tier move for them. And that's the thrust Thrusts are great because they have a high propensity for loading, short learning curve, low injury risk and transfer over to other big moves like the squat and the deadlift. If you're not doing hip thrusts then maybe stop listening to dumb strength coaches who never got out of 1985 calf raises Most people say that calves are entirely genetic but it's fact that all muscles are entirely genetic and that calves will grow just fine if you stop treating them like yesterdays empty donut box and instead treat them like that girl that's out of your league that you wanna date Meaning, treat them right and give them the attention they deserve. Train them first in the workout, with a straight leg, hold the stretch for 3-5 seconds and go heavy for 4-8 reps for 2-3 sets two to three times a week. That will take them from low leg asparagus spears to at least something respectable in a pair of shorts Drop a like and a follow for more tips
