Rising up: creating a new identity for the Gemini Founders Forum 🎈
Google for Startups hosted an exclusive gathering of founders in California for the Gemini Founders Forum.
Our brief was to deploy Google’s own AI tools to create a distinctive and spirited identity for the event, and set the tone for the forum by inspiring new possibilities with Gemini technology.
We landed on the idea of rising to the opportunities that AI makes possible. A suite of everyday icons that represented the experience attendees could expect from the event were reimagined as playful, super-sized inflatables. We showed them travelling through the distinct hometowns and cities of individual invitees around the world — a simple visual metaphor for a global community travelling to convene in California.
Every visual was generated in-house using Google AI tools, art-directed to give the balloons a tangible, tactile weight against real-world cityscapes.
Our work covered creative concept, event branding, personalised invitations, social assets, and campaign imagery and motion. Alongside the event assets, we packaged our process into a practical toolkit to help Google for Startups teams embed generative AI into their day-to-day storytelling.
