Today marks exactly ten years since my father passed away. He left us on October 30, 2016—Diwali night that year—after a two-year battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a journey made harder by an initial misdiagnosis.
Because we didn’t have smartphones back then, and a later computer virus wiped out the few digital videos I had, memories are what I rely on most. But this specific photo is special. It’s a restored passport picture from 2013, back when I forcefully convinced him to rock that Tony Stark beard.
It is hard to believe a whole decade has flown by. Time moves swiftly, but it reminds us to keep moving forward, growing, and doing what's right—just as he would have wanted. Rest easy, Dad.
