Poly dropout ➡️ network engineer ➡️ SIT grad at 29. 🎓
After dropping out of polytechnic, Yang Long Kai found his way back to learning. At 29, he graduated from SIT with a degree in Applied Computing while working full-time as a network engineer at NCS.
He was part of the pioneer cohort of our Competency-based Stackable Micro-credential (CSM) pathway. Instead of putting work on pause, he built his Cloud and Networking skills step by step, using them on the job straight away.
He's proof that there’s no single “right” way to get your degree. Just keep learning, keep growing and keep moving forward.
