I look perfectly healthy, don’t I? That’s the problem with invisible illnesses!

You see the smile, the happy photos, the days out and the woman who appears to be getting on with life.

What you don’t see is the chronic pain, the exhaustion, the difficult days or the energy it takes just to do the things most people take for granted.

I live with fibromyalgia, and eventually it meant having to walk away from a nursing career I’d spent over 10 years building. Not because I wanted to, but because my body simply couldn’t do it anymore.

And honestly, that was heartbreaking.

It’s also one of the biggest reasons I started my own business. I needed something that worked around my health, not something my health had to work around.

Something that gave me flexibility, purpose, confidence and the opportunity to build a future for myself and my family.

My business hasn’t taken away my chronic illness. I still have difficult days, pain and exhaustion. But it has given me choices I didn’t think I had.

So please, never assume someone is okay just because they look okay.

You see the smile. You don’t see the battle behind it. ❤️
