17 minutes agoWell, to be fair, it’s from Nestas view point who hates him. Obviously it’s gonna be different than from Feyre’s POV
4 hours agoPREACH!!!! Oh you're singing to the choir my friend. Can't tell you how much I love you right now....and, while we are on the subject....Nesta being locked in the house of wind, with a hobsons choice, for her own good. But don't worry everyone...alls well, that ends well....erm, actually, the end doesn't justify the means. I felt like the inner circle had had a personality transplant.
20 hours agoI’m sorry but one mistake doesn’t make him Tamlin, I’ll say it 🤷🏼♀️ I think it was an awful mistake and I would actually have loved to see Feyre’s POV when she found out and what she said to Rhys. Rhys does not have the character flaws tam tam has, he’s just trying to live life and keep his family alive. I can’t believe Feyre forgave him that fast but I don’t think this makes him Tamlin.
a day agoYes, I definitely agree. It felt very out of character for Rhys to hide this from her and not give her the choice.
a day agoI vote to make "Tamlinised" a term for when a character you rooted for starts acting the same way as the villain he was fighting against.
a day agoAgreed and that’s why I got zero energy to read the next one. I agree that it smells like book 1 all over the place. I don’t think it’s a matter of “everyone makes mistakes” otherwise we would be justifying Tamlin at some point too. I felt the same way about Nestha development, I didn’t like her in the beginning but I respected her and what she did in a different environment. In the end, I like that we had her point of view of everything.
2 days agoRhys is also daemati AND we know Tamlin’s mind tricks didn’t work on Nesta in ACOTAR… I wonder if she is somehow immune to it. Let’s not forget that this is the same author who had another daemati character, Maeve, create a whole fake mate and family for Rowan and psychologically tortured Aelin . I don’t think we have seen all of Rhysand or know the full picture… what if we are also being duped by Feyre & Rhys’s first person POV. Especially with all of Rhysand’s unsavory choices and behavior being given justification in ACOMAF. I haven’t read CC yet so I don’t know what happens there and the general gist I am getting from ACOSH is the inner circle is fracturing. I’m wondering if Nesta as imperfect as she is, was the first to see it. SJM is really serving us a morally gray MMC and I’m torn about it. 😏
2 days agoNesta was free for a long time and was turning into an alcoholic. She was given a choice and had a clear way out. It is a hard decision which is why it took Feyre forever to make it. It wasn't just Rhysand. Feyre wanted to help her sister. Nesta came to enjoy her time (maybe Stockholm syndrome 😅) and at the end she knew it needed to happen and was healthier and happier after it. Rhysand over reacted to Nesta for sure but he did show restraint ESPECIALLY compared to Tamlin who destroyed a room his partner was in. I mean the only thing that saved Feyre from Tamlin was a protective shield. Rhysand sent Feyre away but got over it quickly and it was Cassian that said he wanted to keep her out in the wilderness. I don't condone or forgive Rhys for keeping information from Feyre. While he sent Nesta away, he and Feyre were still able to talk and work through it. A stark difference from when Feyre would bring up anything at all to Tamlin.
