Here we go, wish me luck. Those that know this struggle, this post is for you! I loved to read so much as a young child and into my early 20s. I really loved reading with my child. All of them. We were pretty broke when she was young so the library was one of our refuges. We took to reading to work through the agony of her spinal fusion recovery. It is agony for everyone, don’t let anyone tell you differently. But it was necessary. Jills, me, and the Kiera Cass series. At some point, I had to read and sift through so much information as a nurse and get just enough of it to have my bearings to be able to provide care in a safe and effective way. It’s a heckuva lot of pressure. I think that is where my love for reading stunted. I then had to become a writer - in such a way that honored people by telling their stories - their fears, their joys…their dreams in such turbulent circumstances and allow people caring for them to understand what matters most to them. THAT was a blessing after I worked through the burden of it. Did I do it right? Did I say too much or not enough? Did I do@it in love and humility?? It prepare me to move forward here. To slow down and listen so that I don’t miss the important stuff. Sometimes what is said and what is not. So now, we move forward. We take but a single step toward the next goal in fear conquering. We’ll peel back the insecurities, the pain and we’ll find joy again with an open heart and an open mind and we’ll start small with this prologue. All the strong Mamas love elephants - I have no data to prove this, but I have witnessed it over and over again. Let’s find out why…
