With that being said, @hoodie__queen Have you been reflecting on what or how the crossroads of โDia De Los Muertosโ and Islam can be expressed without crossing into the territory of โbidโahโ or โhalal/haramโ? And maybe have some thought experiments ๐งช ๐ค ๐ฉโ๐ฌ Islam has taken on different expressions across the world because the Tassawuf (Sufis) would allow for the traditions and customs of these new lands to merge with the ideas of this new religion that is being brought to themโIslam. This is how Islam converted so many nations, not by sword ๐ก๏ธ but rather by meeting the local people where they were. So with that being said, letโs imagine instead of the Spanish, it was the Sufis who came to the Americas instead and met with the Indigenous peoplesโฆ ยฟHow do you think a Sufi/Muslim/Indigenous โDia De Los Muertosโ would have looked like? ๐ฒ๐ฝ ๐ชถ
