• AZURE WINGS IN JUNONA •
While we waited in anticipation for a tiger to emerge from the thickets, an Indian roller became an unexpected companion, fluttering through the open fields of Junona Buffer and lending a splash of colour to the stillness of the forest.
Against the muted greens and golden hues of the landscape, its electric blues and turquoise feathers shimmered like fragments of the sky, transforming an ordinary stretch of grassland into a canvas of extraordinary beauty.
With every graceful sweep of its wings, the roller revealed a mesmerising interplay of colour and movement, its dark flight feathers contrasting beautifully with the luminous blue that traced their edges.
The afternoon light caught its plumage at just the right angle, illuminating the intricate patterns of its feathers and setting them aglow against the softly blurred wilderness beyond.
As we kept our eyes trained on the bushes, hoping for the unmistakable stripes of a tiger to appear, this little aerial acrobat continued its own performance, gliding between the branches and dancing through the open air with effortless elegance.
