🏋️🇵🇭 HISTORY MADE! THREE JUNIOR WORLD RECORDS FOR ALBERT IAN DELOS SANTOS!

The Philippines has another reason to celebrate!

Our partner athlete, Albert Ian Delos Santos, delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 IWF World Championships in Ningbo, China, setting THREE Junior World Records in the Men’s 70KG category.

AND HE’S ONLY 20 YEARS OLD! 💪

HIS RECORD-BREAKING PERFORMANCE
✅ 144kg – Snatch
✅ 187kg – Clean & Jerk
✅ 331kg – Total Lift
Finishing 4TH OVERALL, Ian proved he belongs among the world’s elite, putting Philippine Weightlifting in the spotlight.

BUT THE JOURNEY CONTINUES!

🎯 NEXT STOP: DOHA, QATAR | DECEMBER 7–16

Ian’s next challenge is the IWF Qualifier 1, where he moves up to the Olympic 75KG category to pursue his second counting total in the qualification campaign for the LA 2028 Olympic Games.

Ningbo was the first of 10 Olympic qualifying events, with Ian’s impressive 331KG total serving as his first counting total toward LA 2028.

🇨🇳 成功 (CHÉNGGŌNG) — SUCCESS!

A fitting word for what Ian has accomplished and the journey that lies ahead.

Congratulations, @nai_71kg, Coach @imjulius, Coach @diwa_wl, and the entire team. Keep making the Philippines proud!
