Could nutrition play a role in supporting your horse’s skin health?

Recurring skin issues can be especially challenging for horses with PPID living in hot, humid climates, where warm, moist conditions favor fungal growth.

While EO-3 is not a cure for or treatment of fungal infections, its DHA and EPA omega-3 fatty acids help support the skin’s natural barrier function and promote a healthy inflammatory response. Some horses begin to show improvements in skin and coat quality after several weeks of consistent supplementation.

Evaluating the overall ration can also help identify nutritional gaps or opportunities for improvement that will help support immune function and overall health.
