Today we spent the day in #kichijoji. It was amazing. This area felt a lot like the Plateau in Montréal.
We picked up a coffee and cat shaped donut from @blueskycoffee23 and sat in front of the water. We visited our first shrine.
Afterwards we went around all the little shops. There was a shop filled with gachapon, so we obviously had to go in. As there will be many of these, we each took 500yen and picked one machine. I got a miffy keychain and my sister got a Peter rabbit pouch.
We ended our visit with the first taiyaki of the trip. Mine was sweet potato 😋 I think this will be the first of many.
We're trying to figure out what to do tomorrow since it's Sunday. Maybe visit the Meiji Jingu shrine and then go to Harakuju 🤔

After harajuku, you can try to get on top of the Tokyo tocho for the sunset or night view, which is free but prepare for a long line. If you are in Tokyo next Sunday, I recommend the antique flea market at International Forum - tons of kimonos and obi, some of which have hand embroidery on them. There are also hand beaded handbags, all at unbelievable prices.
