Here's a spooky lil tale for you all, on this, the spookiest of days! In the Waiting Room was originally published on the Timber Ghost Press blog @timber_ghost_press and is still available to read if you'd like! This reading was recorded at The Book Loft in Oak Park @bookloftoakpark at their Halloween spooky stories event on October 30, 2026.

Thank you so much to Michael Allen Rose @partywolves for putting the event together, and thank you to The Book Loft for hosting us! It was a wonderful evening with my spooky friends and only the second time I've read my work in public: I always get nervous, but it's always a blast!

Don't forget to check out my debut horror/comedy novel, The Scald-Crow, which was nominated for a Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a First Novel and is currently available.

Coming out on November 17th, 2026 is my fantasy/comedy novella, The Star of Kilnaely! Think of a cross between The Princess Bride and Irish and American folk tales, but set in a fantasy version of the American Midwest.

And on February 16th, 2027, Escapist Fiction will release! Escapist Fiction is my interactive pick-a-path book (think like a Choose Your Own Adventure book, but even more interactive!) for adults, and is a horror/sci fi comedy.

Happy Halloween! 🎃🎃🎃
