Do things that scare you.
Noosa Bolt 5k - only 9x shorter than the distance I’m training for.

Going into this race half my mind was in the “what am I doing thinking I can compete with some of Aussies best middle distance athletes?!” and the other side of my brain was saying “why would you not put yourself in it? What have you got to lose?”

I haven’t raced a 5km on road since I was at high school. This distance scares me even more than a 50km. But that’s exactly why I did it. I wanted to prove to myself that I CAN DO things that terrify me.

I had the best time racing in my hometown streets, with the best atmosphere and insane competition. Stoked to get 6th in this stacked field and run a sub 16.40. And take the new ALPHA FLY 4s for a quick spin.

Now back to the trails.

Thanks for the pics queen 📸👑 @itsjaclee

Former ‘Baddies’ star #DemiBlanco has been indicted for making the 911 call that led to #YoungScooter’s de-th, 17 months after her arrest.

According to police, Blanco called 911 on March 28, 2025, claiming g-nshots were fired and a bloody woman was being forced out of an #Atlanta home. When officers arrived, Scooter and another man reportedly ran out the back door. Scooter later suffered fatal blood loss after cutting his leg while jumping a fence.

Blanco later admitted to making the call on social media, claiming she did so to protect herself from physical abuse. However, police said they found no evidence supporting her claims. 👀

MY EYES FILL WITH SAND - “Kashmir” was written by John Bonham, Jimmy Page, and Robert Plant, originally printed as 9:41 on vinyl though its true length is 8:37. Recorded between 1973–1974 at Headley Grange with additional sessions and mixing at Olympic Sound Studios, London, the track features Robert Plant on vocals, Jimmy Page on electric guitars (six and twelve string), John Paul Jones on bass and Mellotron, John Bonham on drums, and unidentified musicians contributing strings and brass. The song’s genesis traces back to Jimmy Page’s conversation with William S. Burroughs, who encouraged him to explore the connection between rock and Arabic musical structures and even travel to Morocco for firsthand inspiration. Robert Plant later explained that the lyrics originally under the working title “Driving to Kashmir” came from a long, empty Moroccan road between Guelmin and Tan Tan, where he saw nothing for miles except a single camel and traveler, inspiring the imagery of a road stretching endlessly into a dreamlike destination. The lyrics reference distant journeys, an imagined Shangri La, and possibly the time of Rudyard Kipling, or the hippie trails through Kathmandu in the late 60s and early 70s, with critics describing the piece as “won over by the talk and song from tongues of lilting grace… whose sounds caress the ear.” Musically, “Kashmir” blends rock power with Eastern trance aesthetics, becoming a monumental piece in Led Zeppelin’s catalog. Page described how an earlier idea called “Swan Song” evolved into the final track once Bonham’s drum pattern locked in during early Headley Grange rehearsals: “It just seemed to come to life… nothing else sounded like ‘Kashmir.’ It was quite majestic, and it was just cool to be playing it.”

Only two songs in Led Zeppelin’s discography are credited solely to Bonham, Page, and Plant: “Out on the Tiles” (Led Zeppelin III) and “Kashmir.”
