2 days agoThat is why the creator has a cool way of saying. We created the whole thing. More logistically stuff goes into the art. 🖼️
4 days agoThere’s tracks I engineered that I didn’t produce… there’s tracks I engineered and definitely did. Same with beat making. Some beats I made I made the hook or created the concept. I’ve also written hella lyrics for artists in spots where the lyric was weak or where they were stuck. I’ve written bridges, changed what the hook is., etc. All that starts to be producing. Song structure, lyrics, concepts, delivery, etc. But I was really the just “engineer” or the “beat maker” on paper.
4 days agothank you for opening up the discussion for this !! a lottttt of people don’t know 😅
4 days agoWhats being produced? You can produce a loop.. a beat.. a song.. think it all counts but there are levels.
4 days ago🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥I think a creator is a creator if he’s producing something like an idea or a melody or even connecting dots like “hey you would sound good on this beat with this guy on the hook” arranging putting together pieces is a producer… the same way you can have an “executive producer” and them not touch a beat at all. The engineer adding beat drops studders or switch ups or changing the place of one verse for another it’s producing something .. so beat making is beat making but a beat maker can also be a producer if they can produce more than the beat itself.
