My recent 24-hour round trip to Vaishno Devi was nothing short of a miracle. 🙏 A 13 km trek filled with faith, devotion and incredible energy, witnessing people from all walks of life come together with unwavering belief. The most special part was attending the Atka Evening Aarti immediately after the trek – an experience truly beyond words. Forever grateful to Maa Vaishno Devi for calling me to her abode and blessing me with this divine journey. Jai Mata Di! 🌷🙏🌷 #VaishnoDevi #JaiMataDi #DivineBlessings #FaithAndDevotion #SpiritualJourney
At mile 24, the hammy got the best of my result, but not my time. The BEST day! Next year the @nycmarathon is on my 40th birthday. And lucky 7th attempt will get that sub 3!

L.S. Lowry, born #OnThisDay 1887.⁣ ⁣ “I don't like the South of England. No guts in it. Horrible place.”⁣ ⁣ The extraordinary and long-lost taped interviews that Lowry gave in his final years to young fan Angela Barratt give us the artist in his own words.⁣ ⁣ The real voices of Lowry and Barratt are lip-synced by Ian McKellen and Annabel Smith, giving us a fascinating insight into the thoughts and motivations of the secretive painter.⁣ ⁣ 📺 Watch L.S. I used to say that to be able to keep going I have to wear many different hats….but I took note of a certain prominent message on social during the Summer when it was said “Ain’t never seen no farmer wearing a hat like that !” 👒 So here’s to that post ………. 😊 Taking great strides here in posting this or maybe just putting my foot in it. 💩 🥾 👠 I have come to the not very startling conclusion that whatever you do someone will find fault. 🤔 So, as a mother of nine offspring what would I like them to be ? Independent, free thinking, generous, gracious. To show tenacity, be hard working and to be resolute and determined whilst being empathetic and kind. To not be boastful but not hold back in pushing forward. To lead fulfilling happy lives and to try to share that out. To be able to align with all of these attributes and all at the same time is nigh on impossible. So let’s just say that to have a sense of flipping humour at the ridiculousness of the world that we live in is without a doubt the most important and powerful thing. Laugh with me or at me, either will do. 😊 I’m great at dealing with **it 💩 And if I can make a living from both doing the everyday shovelling of it AND talking/writing/filming doing it then I absolutely shall. 😊 Leading a rich and fulfilling life isn’t about the monetary riches per se but it’s dammed impossible as first generation tenant farmers to make anything near what would be classed as a living .🧑‍🌾 Not wanting to change our lives…just maintain it, is where it’s at. No handouts required just support from the general public and government instead of being hated for diversifying. So many farmers everywhere will have second/ third jobs and work every hour God sends until a time when value is placed on food production and farming. Not holding breath. 🙄 #shepherdess #farm #countryside #haters #love
Happy Halloween! From Belle, The Beast and Chip! Once CiCi decides who she’s going to be, we all just kind of fall in line 😂 #FamilyHalloweenCostume #Vancouver #Costumes
