Here’s my take. The argument against looking comes from “keeping eyes on your target” but you can’t control your target or what they’re doing. You can however control yourself and what you’re doing and you better get that gun up and running again before he does. The targets gonna do what it’s gonna do whether you’re looking or not. At least if you’re looking at your reload it can help grantee a proper reload more efficiently than not looking and that will get you back in the fight quicker thus result in you winning said gun fight.
