The tan, short-haired dog was Scooby, our neighbor’s dog—but to us, he was family. We have a gate between our yards that we open so all the dogs can play together. Scooby was part of our pack.

He was a rescue who had a very difficult life before finding his forever family, where he finally knew the love and kindness he always deserved.

Scooby had been dealing with health issues, and he peacefully fell asleep and passed away. My heart is hurting. I lost my little buddy, and my dogs lost a member of their pack.

Such a sad day. We’re going to miss you, Scooby. ❤️🐾
