The version of you at 60 is being built by what you practise today. Getting down to the floor and back up is a big part of that, and this flow trains it.
Here’s the flow:
1️⃣ Deep squat, arms overhead. Heels down, chest up, reach tall through your fingertips. Your ankles, hips and upper back all have to work together to hold this.
2️⃣ Forearms reach down toward the floor. Stay low in the squat and reach forward slowly, keeping your weight spread across your whole foot.
3️⃣ One knee to the floor, then the other. Lower each knee with control rather than dropping into it. This is the transition that keeps getting up and down off the floor easy.
Move slowly and stay in each position for a few breaths. If the deep squat isn’t comfortable yet, hold onto a door frame or couch for support and build from there.
