Edit this photo with me…
Slide 1 Basic Panel -
I adjusted the WB to be abit warmer as this was shot at sunrise and thats how it felt! I also lifted exposure to recover the shadows and drop the contrast to give it more of a softer look and move away from the HDR look. I also dropped the whites to not have them as harsh and lifted the blacks to balance it out.
Slide 2 -
I always in most of my photos drop the clarity as straight away it gives your image such a softer look and takes away that harshness. I also lifted the vibrance here to bring back some colour to the image
Slide 3 - Tone Curve
I always try to keep this super simple. I will always lift the blacks and drop the whites and then I will usually drop the shadows and lift up the midtones to recover the contrast we took away on the first slide. I will always do my contrast in the tone curve as you get so much more control with it here.
Slide 4 - Masking
I added a radial mask on the subject and the pathway. I lifted the exposure here and added some warmth to emphasise my subject and draw the viewers eye to it. I also added abit of dehaze to make it glow!
Slide 5 -
I added a linear gradient on the shadows and dropped the exposure to give my photo abit more life and again to draw the viewers eye to my main subject. I then used another linear gradient on the other half of the image and lifted the exposure.
Slide 6 - Colour Grading
I always tend to keep this super simple aswell. I will usually use the colours that always work best for me and work very well together. In this instance I added abit of teal to my shadows and warmth to my highlights.
Slide 7 - HSL
I dropped the saturation of the cool colours and the yellows. While I adjusted the hue on my yellows and oranges to make them deeper and not as bright!
Slide 8 - Grain
I always like to add grain to my photo to finish the film look I want!
What would you change here?
Thankyou so much for
