Yamaha can cancel because there is no fight points or championship positions at stake,aprilia and ducati don‘t have that luxury. Unless the event is cancelled they will have to go unless they risk crucial points in the fight

I am calling for RIDERS, TEAMS AND FANS to BOYCOTT the proposed Adelaide MOTOGP Planned for November 2027. This is being promoted as a “City Street Circuit”, when less than half the track is actually on City Streets, the majority being in Adelaide’s parklands surrounding the city. Nearly 400 mature trees and over 55ha of OUR parklands will be BULLDOZED and paved,to make the parkland track, runoff areas, crash barriers and track access roads. The SA Government does NOT have a mandate from the public, there has been minimal public consultation and there have been over 43,000 people sign a petition against this proposal. The SA Government has budgeted this MAJOR earthworks and construction project at $96million, but this cost is probably a VAST UNDERESTIMATE, considering the amount of work that will be required to construct a track that meets FIM Standards. No detailed costing have been released and we have to ask, who is really profiting from permanent damage to parts of Adelaide’s parklands? Take it back to Phillip Island, or to THE BEND, but not a pseudo-street circuit that requires destruction of significant parts of Adelaide’s Parklands.

What is the point of holding a race in a conflict zone? Even F1 has cancelled races in such places.
