Photographer captured these incredible aerial videos at Lake Maharloo near Shiraz, Iran, where thousands of flamingos gather among waters that can turn shades of pink, red, and orange.
From above, the birds become tiny dots, lines, and shapes moving across the pink, red, orange, and green water.
The colors change with the seasons as evaporation increases the lake’s salt concentration and creates conditions for microorganisms and algae that give the water its striking colors.
