🎬 Verity (2026)

Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer who receives an unexpected opportunity when she is hired to finish a successful book series for bestselling author Verity Crawford. After Verity is left unable to communicate following a mysterious accident, Lowen moves into the Crawford family home to examine her unfinished manuscripts and notes. But while searching through the material, she discovers a disturbing autobiographical account that raises unsettling questions about Verity’s marriage, her children, and the events surrounding the accident. As Lowen becomes increasingly involved with Verity’s husband, Jeremy, she finds herself caught between competing versions of the truth. What begins as a professional opportunity gradually turns into a psychological mystery filled with secrets, suspicion, and manipulation.

Directed by Michael Showalter, the psychological thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Lowen Ashleigh, Anne Hathaway as Verity Crawford, and Josh Hartnett as Jeremy Crawford. Based on Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, the film explores obsession, deception, ambition, and the fragile boundary between fiction and reality. As Lowen uncovers more about the Crawford family, she must decide whether the disturbing revelations she has found are genuine or part of a carefully constructed story. With its unsettling atmosphere and shifting perspectives, Verity examines how easily trust can be manipulated when the truth is hidden behind the pages of a story.
