2 days agoHi Tara! I had this exact surgery on the same vertebrae. While intimidating, best decision I ever made. I was a 36 year old mom of 4 little ones who consistently lifted heavy and felt the same dread of starting over. But honestly, I’ve come back stronger than ever. Recovery did not take as long as the doctor projected, but I took it slow, remaining in tune with how I was feeling. Sending you prayers & encouragement. We are always stronger than we think. ❤️
2 days agoTara, I’m sending you the highest vibes for full recovery and return to all you love to do!! I’ve keeping myself from my fixing mindset of suggestions to you, knowing your mindset and nursing knowledge are your super power. I will say from my throat surgery in the past cutting out a thyro cyst, be patient with yourself with healing process. There will be tingling. For me, I found recovery slow with my throat swallowing and kept away from anything acidic or carbonated for a while but that could be specific to my connective tissue issues. You mentioning about the nickel allergy concern is another example of thoroughness I wouldn’t thought of. Thank you for sharing your journey🙏🏼✨❤️🩹💪
