In the absence of colour, flowers reveal a different presence. Their forms become more sculptural, textures more pronounced, and the subtle interplay of light and shadow takes on a language of its own.

In her latest series, photographer Diana Ishii (@dianaishii) explores the expressive possibilities of monochrome. ‘Flora’ moves us to consider the fleeting nature of beauty — and the quiet drama found in even the most delicate of forms.
