Happy Birthday 11th Birthday Ocean 🥹

You’ll always be the most stunning and beautiful girl inside and out, the one who includes everyone and is also Ashton’s eyes when he needs your help.

Glad we got to celebrate you yesterday and wish I could spend all day with you today. You’re an incredible dancer and I love how much you love being on stage. At your age I had no clue what I was going to be when I grew up but you’ve loved dance since you could walk.

I’m so proud of everything you do and I’m so grateful you’re my daughter. #happybirthday #danceislife #motherdaughterlove

He doesn’t need sight to see all the things with his heart 🥹 October is blindness awareness month and I realized there’s so many times people have told me “I’m so sorry your son is blind.” I wish all of those people could see Ashton the way I see him. The way he lives his life and the way he sees the world. Turns out he doesn’t need sight to see beautiful things and most of the time sighted people close their eyes when they live through some of the most beautiful moments in their life. I hope Ashton’s story will change the perspective that someone actually needs sight to live a beautiful life and actually see the world without sight. #blindkidscan #blindnessawareness #disabilityparenting #blindnessawarenessmonth Video description: A teen boy walks with his cane on a pier, then he jumps and smiles in the ocean, he waves at the camera and stands by his little sister. Then he sits behind his mother on an electric bike by the beach. Then he walks with his mother and little sister.
She chose to be a dancer but she was the cutest model once upon a time 🥹 Last week Ocean had dance pictures for her dance team and it reminded me of when she was little and really loved modeling. She was just getting started with dance so she didn’t dance as many hours as she dances now and modeling was one of her favorite things. We did lots of shoots together for brands and she was the cutest little model. Last year she even go to model at a New York City children’s fashion show and it was a big deal to see her walk the runway after modeling for so many years. Dance is her life now and she doesn’t get to model as much as she used to but she loves it when she gets the chance. And every time there’s a photoshoot for dance it reminds me of her modeling and taking her to New York for her first fashion show. I’m so proud of her and how much of her heart she puts into everything she does. And I’ll always support her in everything she chooses to do. #tinydancer #danceislife #runwaymodel
Can’t wait to see @ellalangleymusic tonight at @redwestslc with them 🥹. Last year this was their first country music festival I took them to and they loved it and we can’t wait to be there today! #countrymusicfestival #redwestcountrymusicfest #ellalangley
I wasn’t expecting our day at @redwestslc to feel like such a full circle moment. Last year I brought my kids to this music festival while I was starting my divorce process and it was so healing to bring them back this year knowing I made it through such a hard time in my life. When @ellalangleymusic sang “Butterfly Season” I cried because I saw my kids so happy to be there and it reminded me of how far I’ve come as a single mom and as a person learning to find myself and fly again. I don’t even know the girl from last October who felt like everything was falling apart but was actually building something so beautiful for her kids. Country music is so healing and I’m so grateful we were able to come to this music festival this year. I think it’s now one of my favorite fall family traditions with my kids and something I hope we can keep doing every single year. #singlemomlife #redwestmusicfestival #ellalangley #lifeafterdivorce
He doesn’t need sight when he has his white cane 🥹 Yesterday was white cane day and I never had a chance to share just how much it means to watch your child grow up with a white cane. Ashton got his white cane when he was just 18 months old and started taking his first steps. First the white cane was just for banging on things and playing but as he got older he learned how to explore the world with his cane. Now that he’s 15, his white cane is a tool that allows him not just to explore the world independently but also to let others know that he’s blind and hopefully they will also support his independence by making a way for his cane. I’m so proud of my son and how far he’s come using hai white cane since the first day he got it. At first it was hard to accept he would need a white cane his entire life. But now I’m so grateful for a tool that allows my son to be more independent and explore the world on his own.#blindkidscan #disabilityparenting #blindnessawareness #whitecaneday Video description: A blind teen walks in his cross country jersey and smiles then a clip of a the same blind teen at a much younger age exploring Boston, then the same boy at a younger age skateboarding with his white cane, walking into school and walking at the beach and the airport independently.
Fall break in the mountains with them 🥹 Last year I went to an event with @visitsaltlake and entered a creator challenge to show the most beautiful places to visit in Salt Lake City. Turns out my video won second place in the challenge and the price for the winner was a stay @snowpinelodge and I decided to take my kids over fall break this year. As a single mom content creator this weekend was one of my favorite weekends with my kids. Being able to take them on trips like this on my own is something I’ll always feel grateful for. My favorite part of this place was the @stillwell_spa and the grotto inside the spa was my kid’s favorite. They had never been to a place like this one. In the spa you can get facials, massages and they also have a dry sauna and a steam sauna for adults. My kids also loved the arcade and theatre room at the lodge and we had a movie night and watched one of my favorite 90s movies. The view from our room of the mountains covered in snow was gorgeous and we loved everything about this place. We can’t wait to come back once ski season starts in a few weeks. #singlemomlife #stillwellspa #visitsaltlake #snowpinelodge
