Mr Pink has travelled from the other side of the world (New Zealand) to bring his antipodean flair to continental listeners. Pink makes his own tracks and has a deep and varied bag of selections encompassing Egyptian organ compositions, rare disco jams, jazz and jazz-house, left-field electronica from Iran, Rominimal rollers, Māori breakbeat, Detroit techno and whatever else is rolling around in his back pocket. Pink is a disciple of those who can mix oil with water; notable inspirations are Theo Parrish, Keri Chandler, Moodyman, Frank Booker, Ricardo Villalobos, Current Bias, Grant Smithies, DJ BLO, and Christopher Tubbs. Pink’s mixing is eclectic and abides by the Balearic ‘anything goes as long as it fits’ ethos.

Pink has been honing his craft for 7 years, playing clubs such as Wellingtons B.space, the eponymous Cuba Dupa street festival, Christmas vinyl sessions at Nelson’s Free House, and has also hosted an exclusively New Zealand electronic music show on Wellingtons Radioactive FM. Further works include releases on the Big Fresh Collective, and his spearheading of the short lived but incredibly fun productions outfit Subliminal Resonance. He’s excited to roll up to Mono and take you on a listening session from 5-30 till midnight.
