You are not a rehabilitation center for patriarchal conditioning.

When you try to repair a rupture and he immediately shuts down or gets defensive, it is incredibly easy to internalize that as your personal failure. You over-explain, you soften your tone, and eventually, you shift into performing okayness just to keep the peace.

But his defensiveness is not a communication issue. It is a structural one. We cannot talk about relational skills without naming patriarchy, the exact system that socialized men to avoid emotional accountability at all costs and conditioned them to prioritize being right over being connected.

The myth we were taught is that if we just package our pain patiently enough, we can love someone into accountability. So we become the teachers, the mothers, and the unpaid therapists for people who refuse to do their own reading.

The inequity is too high. What it costs you is your nervous system, and you cannot build a partnership alone.

Men absolutely deserve to heal, and they deserve spaces to do that work. But you are not that space. It is time to practice love-centered limits.

The Relational Skills for Liberation Workbook does not teach you how to fix him. It gives you the exact scripts and protocols to stop abandoning yourself just to keep him comfortable.

The Lunch Story..

@utkarsha_naik took me for some Diwali shopping at Dadar (the obvious destination for all Mumbaikars! 😂), and then insisted we stop at a restaurant called “Fish Curry Rice”.

Now, imagine taking a pure vegetarian to a place with THAT name! 😂 I was a little sceptical, but turns out, she knew exactly what she was doing!

While Utkarsha ma’am enjoyed her favourite fish, @mallika453 (also a pure vegetarian) and I had an absolutely delicious vegetarian feast. Who knew Fish Curry Rice would win over two vegetarians too! ❤️

Good food, great company and a lovely afternoon! ✨

🖤🔮 THE LAST WITCH | C.J. COOKE 🔮🖤

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 STARS

Some stories deserve to be told. Some women deserve to be remembered.

What better way to spend Halloween than completely immersed in a story of witch trials, persecution and the women caught in the shadows of history?

Set in Innsbruck in 1485, The Last Witch is a fictional retelling inspired by the real-life story of Helena Scheuberin, and what an extraordinary read it is.

I’ve always been fascinated by the history of witch trials, but there is something particularly powerful about reading a story that gives a voice to a woman who actually lived through such a terrifying period.

C.J. Cooke’s writing is absolutely brilliant. Atmospheric, compelling and beautifully crafted, this was one of those books I simply didn’t want to put down. I was completely absorbed from beginning to end.

But what struck me most wasn’t simply the injustice of what happened in 1485. It was how uncomfortably familiar some of those attitudes towards women still feel today.

Women being dismissed, disbelieved, silenced and punished for daring to challenge expectations. More than 500 years may separate us from Helena Scheuberin, yet misogyny hasn’t disappeared. That realisation left me angry, and perhaps that’s exactly why stories like this matter so much.

We need to remember these women, their courage and the injustices they faced. Their stories should never be forgotten.

I love books that entertain me, but I especially love books that make me think, question and feel something long after I’ve turned the final page.

This wasn’t just a brilliant piece of historical fiction. It was an important, thought-provoking and utterly captivating read.

Five very well-deserved stars. 🖤

Have you read The Last Witch? Are you as fascinated by the history of witch trials as I am?
