For most of Donald Trump’s second term, pundits have assumed that Republicans’ seemingly impregnable Senate map had the edge over Democrats’ lead in national polls. Now, with election day here, betting markets and other quantitative forecasts all make Democrats clear favourites to flip the upper chamber. Our prediction model is a substantial outlier. We see the race for the Senate as almost a pure coin toss, giving Democrats a mere 52% chance of gaining control. The Economist’s forecast does, however, give Democrats a 93% chance of flipping the House, with an average simulated majority of 234 seats to 201 for the Republicans. Jazz, samples, and beats that keep your head nodding. 🎶 On November 6, NOAH X PETTER will release DRIFT, their debut collaborative project on @leiterverlag . Behind the duo are @noah_fuerbringer_ , drummer for the Moses Yoofee Trio, and bassist-producer @pettereldh . Crafted in Berlin, these six tracks blend hip-hop, jazz, and electronic textures. The duo flips their own recordings and memories into short, richly layered tracks, with groove running through it all. Talib Kweli joins them on “DEEP NOTE,” a nod to Mobb Deep built around a melancholy piano sample and loose, swinging drums.
