Spinning today. Limited edition deluxe edition of the ninth studio album #perfecth from #queensofthestoneage Includes high quality copies of handwritten lyrics by #joshhomme QOTSA branded stationery, postage stamps and a "temporary" 10 inch artwork, which appears to be a side C and D to the album with lyrics printed on but no indication as to how to obtain a copy or if it will actually be released.

A very mellow, groovy and emotionally driven album and a seemingly natural follow-up to alive in the catacombs, its as far away from the early desert rock sound QOTSA have ever been, but i'm all for it. Just like his idol David Bowie, Josh and the band are constantly reinventing themselves and exploring new sounds. It's no songs for the Deaf or Rated R but there's plenty to enjoy here. Insignificant Other, Where the Goth Girls at, Easy Street, Phantom Limb and the alternative rerecording of Sunday from the Iggy Pop Post Pop Depression album is a nice treat which I'm looking forward to hearing live on tour.
