My first crown came from a block party dancing competition. Yup! That’s me! Me and four other friends… and I won 🥹

That little girl dreamed of walking a pageant runway someday. And while I never checked that box, this weekend God let me experience that dream in a way I never imagined, as a judge for Miss Long Island and Miss Long Island Teen @longislandpageants @leannepinardbaum

Talk about a full circle moment.

Sometimes God places something on our hearts, and we picture exactly how it’s supposed to unfold. But there may be a greater purpose beyond the picture we’ve created.

I thought about that little girl as I sat there listening to these young women. Their stories, passion, and their resilience.

The pressure of stepping onto that stage, sharing your story, and being evaluated takes a level of courage I deeply admire. And let me tell you—narrowing it down as a judge was HARD. Every young woman gave me something to root for.

But what stayed with me most was their sisterhood.

Even under all that pressure, they were competing for a crown while helping fix each other’s. Cheering each other on. Making sure the woman beside them felt supported, too. There is so much power in women clapping for one another—even when they’re chasing the same dream.

These young women were owning their G.L.O.W. And witnessing it reminded me why I’m so passionate about helping women own theirs, at every age.

I left grateful for the invitation, inspired by their example, and thinking… that little girl from Queens would have loved this 🥹
