Election Prediction - Look at all the forecast. In the House if the Dems win less than 30 seats it's a real failure, they should win 40+. I believe the Dems, who only need like 5 seat will win the house, but not by the margins that are predicted by CNN/NYT/WP/NPR/MSNOW. In the Senate Dems are suppose to pick up 6 to 8 seats. Here is how I think it will play out. Dems will pick up in NC. Collins will win in Maine, Mike Rogers will win Michigan, which is a Rep pick up. Graham will win SC and Sullivan will win in Alaska. Reps will also win at least 2 of the remaining 4 tossups - Tx, Iowa, KS, Neb. Republicans will have control of the senate. Bonus - Dems might win in a place like Louisiana and Reps might win in NH.

2nd Bonus, Talarico will call his Husband up on stage and give him a big wet kiss.

My Best Friend, My Brother. — These are just some of many pictures over the years. Celebrating a rare soul, a lifelong friendship, and his musical legacy that changed the world.

I met Juan Atkins in 1982. Every time we ran into one another, he would ask me if I worked at a grocery store, beyond convinced he’d seen me there. To which I would always tell him, no man, everybody just look like me. That went on for about a year, until he finally stopped asking me and became curious about who I actually was. Looking back, it’s funny how something so simple led to one of the most meaningful friendships of my life.

Our friendship was about so much more than just making music. He would come pick me up, just to hang out. Whether that was to go to parties or to simply play our music at Belle Isle. We traveled to New York and Miami for music conferences. We laughed together. We even cut each other’s hair. As time went on, I got to know the people closest to him. His grandmother, whom he idolized, his brothers, his sister, and his mother. They became like family to me, and my family became his.

We were in our early 20s, navigating a new frontier with no blueprint. Those were some of the best times of my life: yes, we were having fun, but the friendship we were building was invaluable. I knew our friendship had reached another level when Juan started sharing his music with me and asking for my opinion. I felt honored. He trusted my ears, and I trusted his.

We grew even closer, impassioned by our mutual love for music, learning, and creating. Eventually, it became simple: if you saw Juan, you saw Eddie. If you saw Eddie, you saw Juan. In 1985, he helped me put together my first studio, teaching me how to create my own music, how to manipulate sound through synthesizers and MIDIs. And by 1986, he released my first record, “Goodbye Kiss,” under his label, Metroplex.

The international media may know the records and the parties, but they don’t know the everyday moments that made us brothers.

And I like it that way. Some things belong only to the people who lived them.

He wasn’t just my friend. He was my brother. And I am my brother’s keeper.
