anyways, this is why i love these fairs + festivals so much. these past few weekends have been filled with kindness & community & i just don’t ever want it to stop.

last Sunday rather than work a fair i actually went & enjoyed it with my mom & got to give a few local small businesses their flowers 💐 this was @faireandflourish ‘s BOO-Zar event, & even though i wasn’t a vendor, i still had the sweetest exchange with a girl who bought a copy of my book “Living In Phases” from @thebookstop.nyc , asked me to come down & sign it for her, then thanked me for sharing my words & inspiring her to try to do the same, which she’s been scared to do up until now. i hope she does. i hope she tries, & lets her words be seen. i hope it makes her feel so very proud.

then this past Sunday i got a surprise invitation to join @thebookstop.nyc at a fundraiser in support of a local animal shelter —— so many adoptable kitties!!! a short + sweet + wholesome event with more local small businesses, & serendipitous meetings, 🤍 thank you to everyone who supported me by purchasing a copy of my book(s) or asking for a poem. this world really is so small. every single connection means so much to me. i’m so grateful poetry & the bookish community put such beautiful souls in my path x
