The Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) celebrates the Traditional Latin Mass according to the Tridentine Rite.
St. Sebastian Cemetery, together with St. Peter’s Cemetery, is one of Salzburg’s oldest and most beautiful historic cemeteries.
Today, on All Souls’ Day, we had the privilege of accompanying the sung Requiem Mass, the traditional blessing of the cemetery, and the prayers for the faithful departed.
A beautiful reminder that the Church never forgets her dead. 🕯️

The vestment colored of black is not so very traditional, it is a color introducted in the late middle ages, so it is not really traditional as the purple used since early middle ages.

I'm a Croatian in Australia and on the closest Sunday to All Souls Day, our Croatian priests go around to all of the main cemeteries in Sydney and we pray together and they bless the graves.

@church_fluencer Since Instagram won't let me reply directly to strudelhofstiege—here's the info: You‘re right, among those buried in a family grave in the Sebastian Cemetery are: - Constanze Mozart, the widow of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Genovefa Weber, Constanze’s aunt and the mother of Carl Maria von Weber - Georg Nikolaus von Nissen, Constanze Mozart’s second husband Leopold Mozart, the father of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, is also mentioned by name on one of the three tombstones in this burial plot. However, his remains were not interred in this grave, but rather in the crypt arcades of the St. Sebastian Cemetery (communal crypt). General Johann Jakob Otto August Rühle von Lilienstern was buried in the crypt arcades of the St. Sebastian Cemetery.
