Why not let coaches use us to drive up their contracts? The more money other programs spend on contracts, the less they can spend on their lineup. The big thing is no huge fully guaranteed contracts. Mid-level base with performance incentives. Every top 15 finish buys a 1 year extension at a modest raise. Top 10 a 2 year, top 5 a 3 year and 3 consecutive top 10’s or a natty buy them upper echelon pay/guarantees. Rich, guaranteed contract if you win, mid level year to year if you don’t.
