Just a sneak peek of some behind the scenes content from my film Holy Goat. This is the color scheme I'm going for with the clothing choices.
I want my actors to wear loose fitting clothing because that's what I wear when I am managing my illnesses. Rather it be by doing yoga or laying down while soaking in my negative symptoms, simple colorful loose fitting clothing reminds me that I have room to be as active or still as I want to. I can without being restricted to a tight long sleeve or a weird pant leg that's tight in one spot but loose in another.
I chose these colors because this is the color in which the cult that I am connecting my story to deemed to be their uniform. Rather it be a; darker orange, a light red, or even a pink, many members of the Rajneesh would try their best to clad their bodies in the rich and deep color of maroon. I'm not too sure why, that element I have not found in my research of this cult. But like any cult, self expression through clothing is always done with one color. I think maroon is a better choice than all white or black. It's earthy, moody, and reminds me of the Romantic Gothic style.
